Job Description
- Oversee on-site suppliers for daily quality processes and quality systems including incoming material management, production quality control, and quality continuous improvement actions.
- Manage factory quality issue escalation, Failure Analysis issues, Root Cause and Corrective Action from First Article Inspection/Outgoing Quality Control/On-Going Reliability, Yield fallouts, Customer Complaints and Field failures during NPI/Mass Production Phases.
- Coordinate with onsite operation team members and suppliers to resolve emergency issues locally in a timely manner.
- Define/implement Phone Product Cosmetic Specifications and design FATP Quality Cosmetic Station Inspection Plans, ensuring the specifications are met.
- Drive Design of Experiment, collect Statistical Process Control data to enable evaluation/qualification/ verification of cost effectiveness, meeting overall manufacturing quality goals with cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of statistical quality control such as Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of consumer hardware development and manufacturing processes, vendor relations, and working with Contract Manufacturers.
- Understanding of technology at the system and commodity level as well as software and usability.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, and R language.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Quality management/Cross-functional management developing consumer electronics.
- Experience in product quality control systems, quality compliance matrix, quality governance, quality statistical methods and cosmetic criteria.
