Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute reliability test plans for new products.
2. Conduct failure analysis investigations to identify root causes of failures.
3. Work with contract manufacturers to implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
4. Develop and maintain reliability test specifications and procedures.
5. Provide technical support to contract manufacturers on reliability and quality issues.
6. Interface with design engineers to ensure product reliability requirements are met.
7. Support IQC and OQC activities at contract manufacturers.
8. Work with component suppliers to resolve quality issues.
9. Take the initiative to identify and address potential reliability and quality risks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a reliability engineering role, preferably in the consumer electronics industry.
3. Strong understanding of reliability engineering testing and failure analysis methodologies.
4. Experience working with contract manufacturers and component suppliers.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Experience in the following areas:
8. Reliability testing of consumer electronics
9. Environmental testing, vibration testing, shock testing, and other reliability test methods. Statistical data analysis. Project management.
