Mechanical Design Engineer in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies from concept to production.
  2. Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  3. Utilize simulation tools to model and validate mechanical performance, including structural, thermal, and kinematic analysis.
  4. Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes, iterating designs as necessary to achieve performance targets and quality standards.
  5. Ensure adherence to project timelines and cost constraints, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  6. Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support to foster professional growth within the team.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
  8. Support manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams in production ramp-up and process improvements.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  2. More than 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in [relevant industry, e.g., consumer electronics, automotive. robotics, etc.].
  3. Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, CATlA, Creo) and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
  4. Hands-on experience with prototyping and manufacturing techniques (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
  5. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
  6. Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  7. Knowledge of applicable mechanical standards and regulatory requirements.
  8. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
