Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies from concept to production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Utilize simulation tools to model and validate mechanical performance, including structural, thermal, and kinematic analysis.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes, iterating designs as necessary to achieve performance targets and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and cost constraints, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support to foster professional growth within the team.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Support manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams in production ramp-up and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- More than 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in [relevant industry, e.g., consumer electronics, automotive. robotics, etc.].
- Strong proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, CATlA, Creo) and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and manufacturing techniques (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of applicable mechanical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
