Akash Shah brings over 25 years of experience across global markets (with depth in Asia-Pacific) in senior business & finance transformation and CFO / Finance Leadership roles. He has led, built teams, and transformed businesses in multiple operating environments (publicly listed MNCs and private equity portfolio companies), primarily in Industrial, Consumer and Technology sectors, with an M&A, strategy, and management consulting background.
The focus throughout his career has been around driving value creation through business transformation, strategic and operational performance improvement execution, along with ‘BAU’ achievements. Most recently, Akash led global business-oriented CFO roles over Coats Group’s global portfolio from LatAm to EMEA to Asia-Pacific. Earlier highlights include private equity portfolio company Group CFO positions and more than a decade at PepsiCo in various operating CFO positions built on the back of FP&A, Business Development, M&A and Strategy, taking him and his family across Greater China, various Southeast Asia markets and Australia & New Zealand. Akash started his career as a management consultant with Kearney based in New York, providing strategic and operational recommendations to MNCs across multiple industries.
Akash holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University (Canada) and an MBA from INSEAD (France, Singapore). He is based in Singapore, and enjoys time with his family, travelling and trekking – experiencing new adventures with a view to ‘conquering mountains’ in all parts of his life.
