BLDC Motor Expert in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China

The successful candidate will be responsible for suppling and sourcing electromechanical commodities, including but not limited to BLDC motors, actuators, plastics, harnesses, and subassemblies, for our organization globally. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of commodity sourcing in a manufacturing environment and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for electromechanical commodities in alignment with business objectives.

2. Manage and optimize the procurement process multiple commodities, including supplier selection, contracting, and price negotiations.

3. Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and identifying opportunities for improvement.

4. Conduct supplier assessments and audits to evaluate supplier capabilities, quality systems, and overall performance.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure sourcing decisions align with the company’s overall goals.

6. Monitor market trends and industry developments, leveraging this information to make strategic sourcing decisions.

7. Work closely with supply chain partners to develop materials management strategies that optimize cost and minimize risk.

8. Develop and execute capacity ramp plans to support demand forecasts.

9. Utilize a should-cost framework to ensure that purchased mechanical commodities are obtained at the lowest possible total cost, while still meeting quality and delivery.

10. Implement dual sourcing strategies for critical mechanical commodities to reduce supply chain risks and improve supply chain resiliency.

11. Draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules.

12. Monitor supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery, quality, and cost, and develop corrective action plans as needed.

13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement value engineering opportunities to reduce the cost of mechanical commodities while maintaining or improving quality.

14. Develop and maintain a supplier database, including supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and other key data points.

15. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements related to the sourcing of mechanical commodities.

16. Provide regular reports to senior leadership on sourcing performance, supplier performance, market trends, and other key metrics.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. At least 5 years of experience in global sourcing, with a focus on electromechanical commodities, including motors and plastics.

3. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.

4. Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and influence decision-making.

6. Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.

7. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
