Description
As an Optical System Integration Process Engineer for the Augment Reality display, you will lead the development for display module assembly processes, assembly tools, optic testers, and materials. You will have the chance to influence the design of the technology from process and build learnings as well as to improve the process and tool for better yield rate. Throughout the product cycle, you will collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturer, research scientists, optic engineers, mechanical engineers, reliability engineers, and system architects/engineers to mature the processes from prototype to mass production.
Responsibilities
- Development of complex manufacturing practices including materials, process
- optimization, equipment, metrology and system design
- Review equipment concepts, designs, module drawings, DFM
- Define and implement rigorous equipment/process validation plan, CTQs,
- FAT/SAT, standards, perform FMEA, risk assessments
- Lead yield improvement activities and drive FACA, work closely with crossfunction teams for results
- Develop novel process technologies for prototyping of emerging design
- Travel > 40% within China
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Optics Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in AR/VR/Camera industry
- Experience passive and active alignment processes and tool
- Experience designing and performing and DOEs, data analysis, six sigma, SPC
- control, Gauge R&R with JMP/Python
- Experience communicating with cross-functional partners
- Fluent English speaking and writing
- Familiar Python programming is a plus
