R&R:
- Work with US REL engineer, oversee reliability testing and analysis through product lifecycle
- Create REL test SOPs to simulate field use conditions
- Work with vendor reliability labs to insure the lab readiness of equipment, fixture, setup, calibration, and human resource etc.
- Set up communication rules and train vendor REL team: define/review vendor lab’s report template (excel, daily mail, …); setup regular meetings, email groups, chat groups; set up access of tracking tools for vendor REL
- Onsite support and help solve/mitigate execution related problems (such as fixture mismatch, resource restriction, schedule delay)
- Audit reliability labs to insure testing execution, schedule, and reporting is appropriately and correctly
- Assist failure analysis and use correct test to identify root cause of failures such as apply design of experiments (DOE)
- Organize REL results into clearly formatted presentation slides
- Other tasks per instruction from program REL lead engineer
- Domestic travel is required (up to 75%)
Qualification:
- Work experience of reliability in below products: 1) prefer consumer electronics (phone, tablet, notebook, etc) and softgoods reliability, accessory reliability (power adapter, cable, etc.) 2) ok from IC component, electro-mechanical module, display, camera, etc.
- Experience and knowledge in reliability test: drop, environmental chamber test, shock, life test
- Strong project management skills and execution:
- experience in managing or collaborating with contract manufacturer reliability test lab, or 3rd party lab, can handle complex situation when there is resource/schedule gating
- awareness of test timeline/project priority and able to set right priority to unblock any gating of execution
- able to compile and analyze raw data to make conclusion and recommendation
- can triage and drive vendor for initial failure analysis
- detail oriented to make sure all execution correctly in a time manner
- Good spoken and written English skills required
- Strong presentation and data organization skills required
