Key Responsibilities
Manage mechanical parts suppliers
Measuring GRR/correlation improvement at vendor, work with CM/vendor on measuring correlation.
Design and/or specify inspection methods, tools, and test equipment to ensure product quality and design integrity are appropriately maintained. Also implements appropriate inspection sampling plans using statistical methods.
Coordinate the disposition of non-conforming raw material.
Review and approve changes to supplier related documents (procedures, drawing, etc.)
Perform component qualifications, risk assessments, and first article inspections (as required) prior to the supplier implementing and/or performing the change.
Participate in supplier’s design review, product validation, design verification, Risk Management plans/reports (DFMEA, PEMEA)
Perform risk analyses for existing and new raw materials/components
Develop and conduct statistically designed experiments to determine sources of material/component variability so that product is maintained or improved.
Requirements:
About 4-5 years mechanical parts quality related experience.
Experience with developing quality plans, supplier audits, driving corrective actions and failure analysis required
Working knowledge of quality concepts and reliability related, general manufacturing operations and cosmetic improvements
Good knowledge in FAI, QCP, MSA (Gage R&R), SPC(CPK), Measurement (CMM, Projector) etc.
Able to drive for cosmetic inspection alignment and cosmetic yield study at supplier site.
Good schedule management skill and ability to follow up with supplier to monitor progress.
Good knowledge and experience in quality control (cosmetic, dimensional, functional), familiar with IQC/IPQC/OQC/OBA
Careful and patient person, good ability to write and check reports.
Able to review measurement SOP and measurement jig qualifying or improving driving.
Good English communication skills.
