Supplier Industrial Engineer in Da Nang, Da Nang, Vietnam

Job Description

  • To manage & support e-Bikes FATP line in Da Nang and other sub-suppliers based in HCMC including the quality control of an aluminum extrusion and welding supplier.
  • Assess supplier production control and quality programs, identify shortfalls to expectation, developing quality programs to ensure highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered on time at the optimum cost.
  • Evaluate and communicate the yield of new and existing processes.
  • Establish validation procedures to determine acceptance of tooling into development builds as well as mass production.
  • Develop and implement quality inspection tools including audit procedures.
  • Identify and direct study to implement improvements in measuring methods where appropriate.
  • Plan, propose, and lead experiments to produce timely and accurate analyses used to drive design, development, and supply chain decisions.
  • Drive process development and capability assessment activities, reviewing part design documentation to ensure alignment with process capability.
  • Review supplier tool design, process flow, equipment selection, DFM, and DOE proposals.
  • Assess supplier readiness to support build events and production ramp. Identify potential execution issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk.
  • Conduct potential supplier qualification audits in both system and process levels.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree, 6-8+ years experience in all levels quality & engineering management in manufacturing industry (OEM, ODM or EMS)
  • Proficient in written & spoken English.
  • Familiar with e-Bikes product quality management is a plus, such as experience on bike frame manufacturing (metal processes: extrusion, welding, painting, etc.)
  • Familiar with optical inspection/metrology, mechanical metrology system qualification process such as GRR, Correlation, Stability and Reliability.
  • Expert understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control techniques; process capability assessment (Cpk, Ppk), MSA.
  • Experience in PCBA manufacturing process background with practical experience (SMT and Thru Hole)
  • Experience in PPAP/APQP Processes.
  • Able and willing to travel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in a large cross-functional team environment.
